Right of Withdrawal & Cancellation Policy

Consumers have the right to withdraw from a distance contract within fourteen days without providing any reason.

The withdrawal period is:

• for goods: 14 days from the day you or a third party named by you have taken possession of the goods;
• for digital content not delivered on a physical data carrier (e.g., MP3 downloads): 14 days from the conclusion of the contract.

To exercise your right of withdrawal, a clear statement is sufficient (e.g., by email to tours@vcmt.at). You may use the sample withdrawal form provided below, but this is not mandatory. To meet the withdrawal deadline, it is sufficient to send the statement before the withdrawal period expires.

Information about the right of withdrawal as well as the sample form will be sent to you automatically after purchase on a durable medium (e.g., by email or PDF download).

If you withdraw from the contract, we will refund all payments received from you, including any standard delivery charges, within 14 days of receiving your notice of withdrawal.
The refund will be made using the same payment method you used for the original transaction.

We may withhold the refund until:

• we have received the goods back, or
• you have provided proof that you have sent back the goods.

Please return the goods in their original packaging if possible and include a copy of the invoice. This is not mandatory but helps us process your return more efficiently.

You, as the customer, are responsible for the return shipping costs. You are only liable for any loss in value if it results from handling the goods in a way that was not necessary to check their condition and functionality.

a) Digital Content (MP3 Files from the Online Shop)
When purchasing MP3 files that are not delivered on physical data carriers, your right of withdrawal expires in accordance with § 18 (1) no. 11 FAGG as soon as:

• you have expressly agreed that we may begin executing the contract before the withdrawal period expires, and
• you have acknowledged that this agreement waives your right of withdrawal.

This consent is obtained during the ordering process via two separate checkboxes. Withdrawal after the download has started is excluded.
b) App-Guided Tours (Apple App Store / Google Play Store)
For app-guided tours (e.g., GPS or audio guides) purchased through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store, the return policies of the respective platforms apply.
Please contact Apple or Google directly in case of withdrawal.
Your statutory consumer rights in Austria remain unaffected.

Note for App Purchases:

Purchases made via our app (e.g., audio guides, subscriptions) are subject to the return policies of Apple or Google. In case of withdrawal, please contact the respective provider directly. Refunds are issued exclusively through the platform. Your statutory consumer rights in Austria remain unaffected.

c) Live Tours / Individually Booked Offers
For services with a fixed date (e.g., guided Vienna Classical Music Tours), the right of withdrawal does not apply in accordance with § 18 (1) no. 10 FAGG.

The following cancellation terms apply:

• up to 21 days before the tour: 10% of the total amount
• 21 to 7 days before the tour: 25%
• 7 to 1 day before the tour: 65%
• cancellation on the day of the event: 100% of the total amount

These cancellation terms also apply to VIP tours, private tours, and partial cancellations of individual tickets.
Goodwill Policy:
A free rescheduling to another date is possible up to 31 days before the tour (subject to availability).
